A tradition of hospitality spanning three generations!!
It was the 1930s, and at just eight years old, Gaspare began working in construction to help his family. His future seemed predetermined, but it wasn’t so; he harbored a dream!
On September 8, 1943, the Allies landed at Maiori. On March 18, 1944, Mount Vesuvius erupted. On October 25, 1954, a terrible flood devastated much of the Maiori area, claiming many lives.
These events provided the talented Gaspare, barely more than a teenager yet known not only in Maiori as “Mast Gaspare,” meaning “Master Gaspare,” the impetus to expand his construction business… and to realize his dreams.
Master Gaspare worked day and night, eventually employing almost fifty people… finally, in 1975, he decided to dedicate himself to his most important work. He decided to realize the dream he had pursued during his years of youth and hard labor.
He builds the Hotel San Pietro, which opens on June 1, 1975.
A structure unlike any seen in Maiori. An extraordinary tourist complex where tourists are welcomed as family friends, offering them all comforts and the best solutions for a vacation centered around relaxation and fun.
Over the years, the reins of the Hotel Residence San Pietro have passed to his children, and later his grandchildren joined the management…
Now in its third generation.
